CanJoe*John at MerleFest 2002, April 25-28th, America's premiere Americana festival held annually on the grounds of the Wilkes Community College, Wilkesboro, NC

CanJoe*John performed at the 78th Annual Fiddler's Grove  'Ole Time Fiddler's and Bluegrass Festival 2002' of Union Grove,NC. This event is the oldest continuously run festival of it's type in North America. Held every Memorial Day weekend, Fiddler's Grove is a premiere family festival preserving traditional American music and values. This year's festival ran from May 24th-26th.

CanJoe*John and MB4 performed the pre-show entertainment for Virginia's outdoor drama, "The Trail of the Lonesome Pine" at Big Stone Gap, VA on July 5th, and August 1st, 2002...

CanJoe*John attended and performed at the National Can Collector's Association annual "swap meet" in Johnson City, TN on August 17, 2002.

CanJoe*John and Amber Morgan performed on the CocaCola stage in downtown Bristol, TN for the race fans attending the Family Night event sponsored by Food City on August 22, 2002 from 1:00-1:50pm. This event is an annual gathering of >55,000 race fans to meet and greet, enjoy music and fun while getting autographs of their favorite race car drivers prior to the NASCAR Food City 250 race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

CanJoe*John performed at the Baileyton Celebration, a four day patriotic festival celebrating the heroes of America. Located in Baileyton, TN just south of Greeneville, this celebration began Thursday, September 5, 2002 with a beauty pageant; CanJoe*John kicked off the event on Saturday morning doing patriotic tunes,  marched in the parade on Saturday morning and perform with MB4 on Saturday evening at 7pm.

September 25, 2002 a special canjoe demonstration/workshop was held from 1:30- 3:30 pm at the Senior Citizens Center of Johnson City, TN

CanJoe*John and MB4 performed for the annual Exchange Place Folk Arts Festival, September 28-29, 2002, held on the grounds of the historic Exchange Place, Kingsport, TN.

CanJoe*John and MB4 performed a benefit for the Elizabeth Chapel Church Bizzare Saturday, October 5th, 2002.

CanJoe*John and MB4 performed at the Annual Blountville Hoedown on October 12th, 2002 Event also honoring the 2002 North American Fiddler Hall of Fame Inductee and renowned fiddler, Ralph Blizard.

CanJoe*John performed December 20th a one hour show at the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum in Nashville,TN

CanJoe*John and MB4 performed on the main stage, on Saturday, January 25th, 2003 at the "Farm Expo". This annual 3 day regional event was sponsored by the Kingsport Times News and was held at the Meadowview Conference Center, Kinsport,TN.

CanJoe*John performed  at a workshop on "how to play a canjoe" and gave a canjoe demonstration for the Senior Citizens Center of Johnson City, TN on St. Patrick's Day.

CanJoe*John performed and demonstrated his canjoe as an instrument/craft made totally from recycled materials to those attending the "Earth Day 2003" celebration held at the East Tennessee State University (ETSU) campus, Johnson City, TN on April 22,  from 9AM-11AM...He also be performed a seocond time with his band MB4, at the amphitheater for the attending ETSU students and guests from 1-1:40 pm, .... thanks to all for coming to join us for the fun, music, and enlightenment of, and about preserving Mother Earth...

CanJoe*John and the CanJoe Company was a part of the MerleFest 2003, held April 24-27 at the Wilkesboro Community College campus, Wilkesboro, NC. This annual festival is America's premiere Americana festival held in memory of Doc Watson's son, Merle Watson. CanJoe*John appeared on the "Americana Stage" and the "Little Picker's Stage" for two 40 minute performances. CanJoe*John appreciated the great back up by Charlie O.
